The Science Professional Community is a supportive network which will provide time and space to explore research and innovation in the subject, engage with professional reading and gain insight into the National picture in the subject.
During each session agenda items will combine items requested from community members as well updates and resources from those organisations such as the DfE, Ofsted and the EEF that influence and support the teaching of the subject in our schools.
Evidence-based practice and pedagogy will underpin the thinking of every session. Time is made to reflect on recommended best practice. Working within a community of supportive colleagues, these discussions ensure maximum impact on practice back in school.
The sessions will be designed to combine the element of reflection and sharing of best practice with the opportunity to network with like-minded colleagues. Sessions will seek to support both new and experienced subject leaders/subject co-ordinators in all settings. It will provide access to practical tools and resources which can be used in school.
This year the termly community sessions will be held in person at Roundwood, Taverham, by Claire Seeley, Science Advisor.
Two places on each Professional Community are included in your VNET Membership. Please note you must book a ticket for each delegate below.
