Coaching for a Highly Effective Top Level Phone Call
The rationale of this practice is to enable school leaders to rehearse their pre-inspection phone call in a low-stakes environment. It is likely the recipient of the call will have booked a time with a VNET Associate for it to take place.
Coaching is key to this approach and whether the coaching element takes part during or at the end of the conversation, it is vital to ensure there are learning points for the school leader which are shared and worked-through.

There is a strong link between language and communication, vocabulary development and later attainment, indicating that language skills are among the best predictors of educational success. In a communication and vocabulary review, schools will be provided with an evaluation of how their planned curriculum ensures wide-ranging and expanding knowledge of the spoken language and how the curriculum is enabling pupils to develop their knowledge and skills of spoken language over time.
