The 2025-2026 leadership series continues to develop leadership thinking in a changing world. Our Principal Consultant, Ruth McGlone, will be running a new series of online sessions across the three terms. Ruth will focus on strategic thinking that will impact on school performance and outcomes. As with sessions in previous years, participants will consider different models from research, current practice, and be helped with supportive documentation to help both new and experienced heads in their roles.
Developing a culture for high expectations
The culture of a school has an impact on many things, behaviour and attitudes for example. The attitude of school staff, however, in setting and expecting high expectations remains one of the areas that is a focus for school improvement. The session will consider how culture is set and ways leaders can change and develop a culture for positive change.
The series will address the following:
- Managing change – 24 September 2025
- Developing a culture for high expectations – 27 November 2025
- Time management – 5 February 2026
- Staying resilient as a Headteacher – 29 April 2026
- Are you a manager or a leader? – 16 June 2026
