This workshop is designed to support MSAs in developing the confidence and skills needed to deliver small-group activities and sessions during breaktimes and lunchtimes within your school. Structured play and organised activities can play a significant role in reducing conflict and incidents of upset during lunchtime, helping to minimise disruption that can impact valuable classroom learning time.
Learning outcomes
- MSAs will gain a deeper understanding of the vital role they play in promoting the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of children
- They will learn practical strategies to support and encourage pupils in achieving the recommended 60 minutes of daily physical activity.
During the workshop, delegates will have the opportunity to explore barriers that may limit opportunities for structured play, develop practical strategies to overcome these challenges, and learn quick, easy-to-deliver games and activity setups. Participants will also receive a dedicated resource book containing a range of group activities to support delivery back in school.
This training will be delivered by Matt Mann, Norfolk PE Services.
Audience: MSAs, TAs, Wrap-around care staff
