Following the February 2027 release of the updated Inspection Data Summary Report (IDSR), this session will support school leaders to reflect on the effectiveness of previous interventions and plan forward with clarity. Although the IDSR focuses on outcomes for pupils who have left primary school (typically the previous Year 6 cohort), it provides valuable insights into the impact of a wide range of past interventions — not only academic, but also those addressing attendance, behaviour, and the progress of key groups such as disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND.
Working with their IDSR alongside their internal data, leaders will be guided through a practical process of analysing patterns and trends in attainment, progress, persistent absence, and contextual factors. This analysis will enable schools to evaluate the success of past strategies, identify areas where interventions need to change, and plan future actions that are purposeful, evidence-informed, and aligned with their wider school improvement priorities.
