The PE Network 26/27

Tuesday, June 15, 2027 @ 1:45 pm - 4:00 pm

Leading Physical Education in a primary school can at times be an isolating task. PE is a unique curriculum subject, requiring leaders to consider curriculum design, teaching & learning, assessment, inclusion, physical activity, staff confidence and professional development.

Our Primary Physical Education Professional Community provides subject leaders and co-ordinators with a supportive network of colleagues who understand the opportunities and challenges of leading PE in a primary school.

The community provides meaningful professional development focused specifically on primary PE, enabling leaders to collaborate, share ideas and resources, develop their practice and keep up to date with national developments..

High-quality Physical Education plays an important role in every child’s primary education. It develops physical competence, confidence and knowledge, while providing opportunities for children to experience success, work with others and develop positive attitudes towards being active. For schools, strong PE leadership helps ensure that PE is well planned, inclusive, progressive and valued as part of the wider curriculum – rather than simply a series of physical activities or sporting opportunities.

Our Professional Community supports PE leaders to make this happen by providing the knowledge, support, challenge and professional network needed to continually improve the quality of PE across their school. We look forward to meeting you!
