The English Professional Community sessions will be designed to combine the element of reflection and sharing of best practice alongside the opportunity to network with like-minded colleagues. Sessions will seek to support both new and experienced subject leaders/subject co-ordinators in all settings.
During each session agenda items will include those from community members as well as updates and resources from organisations such as the DfE, STA, Ofsted, our local English Hub and EEF that influence and support the teaching of English in our schools.
Evidence-based practice and pedagogy will underpin the thinking of every session. Time is made to reflect on recommended best practice. Working within a community of supportive colleagues, these discussions ensure maximum impact on practice back in school.
