This online session focuses on the vital role Teaching Assistants play in adaptive teaching to ensure all pupils achieve their best. We will move beyond simply ‘helping’ to using scaffolding and modelling that builds pupil independence over time.
You will learn how to use high-quality interactions to identify gaps in understanding and provide the ‘just- right’ amount of support. We will explore how your observations contribute to the ‘graduated approach’ – assess, plan, do, and review – helping to remove barriers for pupils with SEND or those from disadvantaged backgrounds. The goal is ensuring pupils don’t just complete tasks, but truly secure foundational knowledge for long-term success.
