In this Day of Welcome and Empathy Festival collaboration, author-illustrator Ramzee will bring to life the laugh-out-loud ‘The Cheat Book’ series. Drawing on his experiences as a cartoonist, storyteller, and coming to the UK as a refugee, this interactive session will have your pupils drawing, thinking, and getting their empathy on!
This event was designed for pupils aged 9-11 but is also suitable for older children.
A Day of Welcome is an annual school event that aims to build a culture of welcome and understanding for people seeking sanctuary. It’s designed to support teachers in kickstarting Refugee Week (15-21 June) by providing free live events, resources and activities for pupils of all ages.
By registering to take part in this event, you are participating in A Day of Welcome. VNET will share your contact details with the team at A Day of Welcome who will be in touch with further resources and ideas that you could use as a complement to the event and to mark A Day of Welcome and Refugee Week.
