Ignite Music have developed this beautiful story of a goose born on the marshes of East Anglia into a 45 minute family opera for you and your pupils to watch live in the comfort of your own school!
The opera will include puppets, an immersive auditorium dressed to create the Norfolk marshes and blur the line between stage and audience. It is firmly aimed at young people and families introducing the audience to opera in a friendly way with musical performance, puppetry and animated background.
Borka is the story of a goose born with no feathers who feels different from her many brothers and sisters. Unable to find a place where she is accepted, she meets two new friends on their boat heading towards London and finally a home in Kew Gardens. It is a story about inclusivity and being accepted.
This Opera is designed for KS1 pupils and we are currently offering three options for your school to book, including: in person, in school and a live stream.
