Staff Insets – training for the whole team!
- Adaptive teaching for TAs, 11.00am-12.00pm, 2 September 2026 – moving beyond simply "helping" to using scaffolding and modelling that builds pupil independence over time.
- Adaptive teaching for Teachers, 1.00pm- 2.30pm, 2 September 2026 – grounded in the "graduated approach" (assess, plan, do, review), we will examine how to identify barriers quickly and adjust practice in real-time.
Projects
Projects offer us a way to bring experts into the county to share a wider perspective with our members. One project of your choice is included in your membership, additional projects are available to book at £350+VAT each.
- SEND – Gary Aubin: What is good curriculum design for SEND and Inclusion – set your curriculum re-draft off in the right direction by addressing the needs of all children.
- Mixed Age, High Standards: This project is designed to strengthen leadership approaches so that mixed-age schools become high-clarity, high-expectation communities, not overstretched ones.
- Writing – the essentials: Three online sessions across spring and summer addressing three key areas. Send all your staff!

Specialist CPD for SEND
Our range of CPD for Special Schools has been commissioned by, and in conjunction with, expert practitioners in Special Schools. This specialist CPD is suitable for special schools as well as mainstream schools with staff working in SRBs, internal ESPs, or Internal Alternative Provisions.
Sessions will include for example:

- Self-regulation and a differentiated progressive self-regulation curriculum

Improving Teaching Programme
SparkED: Reflective Practice
Perfect for any teachers who need to update their knowledge and strengthen the consistency and impact of their classroom teaching, this collaborative professional development programme from VNET and Synergy MAT focused on improving the quality of teaching. Through structured input, collaboration and purposeful reflection, teachers are both supported and expected to test, refine and evaluate their practice. Four in-person sessions which include:
- Precision Questioning: Sharpening routines to deepen thinking
- Adaptive Teaching: Responding flexibly to diverse learner needs
- Live Assessment: Using real-time feedback to drive progress
- Impact Evaluation: Reflecting on growth to ensure long-term change.

Subject Leadership Series – New Curriculum
Our Subject Expertise Series will offer CPD specifically designed to navigate the 2025/26 National Curriculum updates in the Spring and Summer Terms of 2027. Led by subject specialists, these sessions empower primary subject leaders and co-ordinators to feel confident in integrating changes in their subject areas.

Online CPD for TAs – New Series for 26/27
TAs play a vital role in supporting teaching to help ensure all children can access learning and make progress. By building knowledge, skills, and confidence, this training series strengthens impact in the classroom and enables TAs to provide purposeful support that helps bridge the attainment gap for vulnerable learners.
This online programme of eight 40-45 minute sessions (time built in for reflection) can be accessed by individuals or as a group inset session. Each unit contains a 30 min (approx) video tutorial, resources and a quiz, supporting resources are provided to allow personal learning to turn instantly into professional practice.

Using Pupil Premium Funding
You can use your Pupil Premium Funding because VNET supports you in “Developing high-quality teaching, assessment and a broad and balanced, knowledge-based curriculum which responds to the needs of pupils” (Ref 1). We will help you build VNET into your Pupil Premium plan and provision.
