English Professional Community 2023/2024

The English Professional Community will be facilitated and supported by Jenny Kirk, MAT English Leader.

The English Professional Community will:

Our English Professional Community will provide English subject leaders with the opportunity to come together to share excellence and consider subject specific challenges in English. English Leaders will receive time in every session to reflect on recommended best practice and work with colleagues to support each other with the implementation of these strategies into their own schools.

Being part of the English Professional Community will:

  • Ensure that English leaders keep up to date with national updates

  • Work with other subject leaders

  • Have access to English subject experts

Evidence-based practice and pedagogy will underpin thinking of every session. Subject Leaders will contribute agenda items so that every session is current and ensures maximum impact on practice.

Sessions will focus on updates in English education including, DfE, STA, Ofsted, and will give English Leaders the opportunity to share good practice and network with other primary English subject leaders.
