Write your SEF!

Thursday, October 17, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm

There are some elements of the headteacher’s work which tend to be left, as they seem such an enormous task!  We are delighted to offer an opportunity to get this piece of work started in the autumn term, ready to identify your priorities for improvement.

The workshop focuses on the school evaluation processes and is led by our Education Director, Sonia Innes, and our Principal Consultants, Ruth McGlone and Emma Adcock.

You are welcome to stay for the afternoon to get as much written as possible with the support of like-minded colleagues.

In this session we will:

  • Provide delegates with an opportunity to reflect on their own SEF/SIDP (please bring them with you)
  • Discuss how to ensure the priorities in the SIDP are closely aligned to the evidence in the SEF
  • Provide delegates with an opportunity to consider a range of formats
  • To get to grips with the way forward with school self evaluation for you and your school, so that it becomes a routine task rather than an enormous job!

Audience: new/inexperienced headteachers writing their first SEF, headteachers wanting to take a fresh look at writing a SEF, headteachers of schools needing to show rapid and focused change.
