Ad Astra Human Performance
Human Performance is about the skills and behaviours that allow your operation to function seamlessly by developing your most powerful resource – people.
Human beings have evolved from a species that purely survives to one that
thrives, and this is all due to the application of Human Performance concepts.
This is a science; it recognises and develops your intrinsic skills (known as Human
Competencies) that we all inherently have, which allow you to think and act
logically, rather than letting your emotional instincts control you, bringing an
array of positive outcomes to you and your colleagues.
Joshua de Maid of Ad Astra Human Performance joins us to give an outline of the principles of Human Performance. This concept was developed by NASA to reduce air disasters by examining human error, known as Human Factors. Aviation has become 50 times safer since the introduction of Human Factors Training.
The nine building blocks are:
- Communication
- Situational Awareness
- Leadership and teamwork
- Problem solving and Decision making
- Error and Threat Management
- Time and Workload Management
- Stress, Fatigue and Wellbeing
- Professional Standards
- Equality, Diversion and Inclusion.
Please join us to find out what impact this can have in your organisation.
