Autumn Term – 29 September 2023: Authentic Leadership with Andrew Morrish, Makana Leadership
Andrew Morrish has worked in the teaching profession for almost 30 years. He has been a headteacher since the age of 29, leading challenging multicultural schools across the country. He knows the journey of school transformation inside out, and is the author of ‘The Art of Standing Out’ and ‘The Authentic Leader’ (October 2022). Andrew is a former founder CEO, inspector and National Leader of Education.
Spring Term – 11 January 2023: Recruitment and Retention with Mandy Coalter, author of ‘Talent Architects: How to Make Your School a Great Place to Work‘.
Mandy will draw on her extensive HR experience in the schools sector and beyond. The session will help you to consider HR practices that can be developed in school that will in turn support you in building a great place to work, and where staff and children can excel.
Summer Term – 25 April 2023: Appraisals that make a difference … by being different, led by Clare Fletcher, Broad Horizons Education Trust.
Given that achieving key organisational objectives effectively is the puzzle we are trying to solve, then people are the most important jigsaw pieces we have to do that. Hence the need for an appraisal and talent management approach that:
- Adds as much value as possible, taking as little time as possible
- Is consistent across the organisation for teaching and support staff
- Everyone can engage with
- That helps support career progression for everyone.
