Tuesday, March 14, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Global development delay (GDD) is a term used when a child has not gained the developmental skills expected of someone of their age. It means that children are facing delay in at least two or more areas of development. GDD is often considered a learning difficulty or in some definitions, it is considered a Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD). One of the defining features of GDD is having a lower intellectual function than what is considered neurotypical, which can have an impact on the way that children access education.
This short course will help education professionals develop a better understanding of GDD and will give practical ideas to implement within a classroom to support students with GDD.
