How the Brain Works and What This Means for Teaching and Learning – Session 2 of 2
Tuesday, February 22, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
This is session 2 of a two-session course.
As practitioners, I am sure that we can all recall the time when we taught that great lesson on a Monday, yet, by Tuesday, the pupils’ knowledge appeared to have simply evaporated overnight!
“Cognitive Science principles of learning can have a real impact on rates of progress in the classroom.” EEF, 2021
Session 2: Tuesday 22 February 2022
Webinar 2 will give delegates the opportunity to evaluate the trialed strategies, share pupils’ work with colleagues, and to reflect on the results from Pupil Book Study.
- To understand the conditions for effective learning.
- To know how research from cognitive science can impact the quality of learning in your classrooms.
- Discuss successful approaches to enable you to create connected learning
- Look at sustainable strategies to support getting learning to ‘stick’
Outcomes: To enable teachers to better understand how they can create sequences of learning that pupils will remember.
Recordings of the sessions and resources will be available for your use in school.
The cost is per person.
