Great Teaching – Cognitive Science and Memory

This is the first session in a series led by Dr Niki Kaiser, experienced teacher and EEF’s Content Lead for Cognitive Science, and Rachael Wilson, experienced primary teacher and Deputy Director of Norfolk Research School. The sessions will enable teachers to refresh their understanding of how pupils learn so they can tailor their lesson to suit these needs.
The session is £135+VAT or 2 credits per person. Book on to all three of our ‘Great Teaching’ sessions for the discounted rate of £350+VAT or 4 credits per person!
Session 1. Cognitive Science and Memory
This session will support you to develop research-informed approaches to help your pupils learn and remember more. We’ll move beyond learning as simply remembering facts for longer, and reflect on how we can encourage deeper thinking and meaning making.
