This longitudinal training programme, led by Becky Clinton, provides teachers with a thorough look into the maths curriculum. Each session provides research and resources to support teaching and learning in the classroom. 

Session 1 – Effective teaching of maths. Taking a look at the teaching and learning cycle, including formative assessment. The importance of conceptual understanding (face to face – Glen Lodge, Bawburgh Golf Club, Marlingford Road, Bawburgh, NR9 3LU)

Session 2 – Numbers and the number system (online)

Session 3 – Proportionality (online)

Session 4 – Numbers in context – measurement and statistics (online)

Session 5 – Let’s get mental! (online)

Session 6 – Geometry (Online)

Objectives:

• To secure understanding in maths subject knowledge across the whole curriculum
• To provide a rich resource base grounded in research of what works well
