Andy Griffiths will be leading a ‘Body of Knowledge’ session for members. He will unpick and work through a pre-written, whole-school curriculum plan explaining why particular areas of knowledge, skills and vocabulary have been chosen for children to learn in each year group. He will then demonstrate how to make a unit of work based upon this.

Training Objectives

• To improve colleagues knowledge of the DT curriculum
• How to choose suitable activities based on challenge not convenience
• How to sequence the curriculum based on prior learning.

Learning outcomes

• Andy aims to give self assurance through live modelling to enable delegates to develop their own curriculum plan with confidence.
