Dealing with Vexatious Complaints
Tuesday, February 7, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
When does a complaint become vexatious and what options are open to you as a headteacher in dealing with them?
Clear policies and procedures and knowing when to pass on persistent, vexatious complainants bring back that element of control to a headteacher who is feeling flooded by constant vexatious complaints.
This session will support headteachers who may feel worn down by continuous complaints from individuals or groups of individuals. It will support them with decisions that may include barring individuals, when to seek legal advice, when to pass on complaints to the police and when to stop communicating, in line with their policies and procedures.
The course is led by Ruth McGlone, ex-headteacher with extensive leadership experience.
