Ambitious Religious Education for All briefing

Wednesday, June 15, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

This briefing, led by Kathryn Wright, will give an outline of statutory requirements for RE in different types of school, as well as unpacking the key messages from the Ofsted Research Review (2021) for the subject. It will provide insight into the latest educational thinking about RE including research on different types of knowledge. A variety of resources, support and professional development will be shared, including opportunities for beginning teachers, early career teachers as well as those in middle and senior management. There will be ample time to ask questions.

Kathryn Wright is chief executive of Culham St Gabriel’s Trust, an endowed charitable foundation which promotes a broad-based, critical, reflective education in religion and world views. Kathryn leads their strategy and works with a range of partners including the Chartered College of Teaching. Kathryn is a former local authority and diocesan adviser. She sits on the Board of the Religious Education Council of England and Wales.
