DESCRIPTION:In partnership with Amnesty International and Asylum Speakers\, in this session you will hear firsthand from people who have faced forced displacement\, focusing on their experiences of UK schools as both parents and pupils. It will build your understanding of the challenges faced by families from a refugee or asylum-seeking background and provide guidance and support in how best to support them in your setting. \nThis event is for educators in the UK. \nBy registering to take part in this event\, you are participating in A Day of Welcome. VNET will share your contact details with the team at A Day of Welcome who will be in touch with further resources and ideas that you could use as a complement to the event and to mark A Day of Welcome and Refugee Week.
